Hi

I am a ham radio operator. I do a thing called Summits on the Air (SOTA) with my portable radio equipment. I hike to a predefined summit and set up my radio and make as many contacts as I can for points.

SOTA has a website with the list of the summits I can go to. I recently persuaded the author of the website to include CalTopo as one of the choices to click on to view a summit. Here is a link to my favorite summit https://summits.sota.org.uk/summit/W6/SC-159. If you open the link you can see the CalTopo button to click. When clicked it opens to the summit, this works perfectly! I was hoping there was a way that if the button is clicked a marker is placed on the summit also?

Thanks
Kent

Add object, add marker and save the map.
You'll need a Cal-Topo account to save the maps and links to same.

I was hoping to have the marker be there when you click on the button?

It can if the link goes to a saved cal-topo map.
