exporting tracts, no elevation data

I created some tracts in cal topo, exported then installed into garmin base camp but there was no elevation information. I checked the .kml file as text and all elevations were 0. Is it possible to export the elevation data? Did I miss a setting?
BTW I am new to GPS and mapping software so feel free to explain it to a 5yo lol.

At present, there's no way to export elevations in a GPX or KML file. With a pro account, it's possible to export an elevation profile in CSV form, but that's more for creating custom graphs in Excel than importing into other software.

I am now trying to skip the base camp and just go straight to the Rino 755t. I will see if I can get that to work. I just had my first failed attempt at loading the gpsio
