Strava Heat Map layer

Hi - I recently downloaded a free Android app that was able to tap into the Strava API to do an overlay of Strava heat maps - which as billions of GPS tracks used to create it.

I saw many old / unmaintained trails and popular cross-country routes in the Sierras that would be very helpful for trip planning purposes. But I can't seem to find a way to get this layer on a desktop PC other than using the Strava Route Builder - which tends to hide these less-popular routes at the most convenient zoom levels for trying to trace them.

I think it would be neat if Caltopo could tap into this heatmap data for an additional layer.

EDIT: Disregard this post... Use the 2nd reply of mine for a better solution.

Hmm... I seemed to partially figure it out on CalTopo, but I am still getting the same issue I get on the Strava Route Builder by losing some of the lesser used tracks at closer zoom levels. Some don't even shot up at all when using CalTopo layers...

Looks like you can use these layer templates below... You can change the number after color (ie. "color3" or "color2" instead of "color7") for a variety of colors - some work some don't....

I reached out to Strava recently to ask permission, but without their approval I'm not going to add this as a default source in CalTopo.
