I just saw the "new" feature called Truncate and wondered how to use it.

I don't think that I have noticed it before. It seems to be a function related to my tracks logged with the phone app.

It appears to break the track into pieces, but I can't figure out which how to do the truncate so the the "piece" that I want stays as the track.

I can't find any reference to "truncate" in the "working with existing lines and polygons" section.

Thanks for reaching out! Could you provide more detail (where the feature is, how you access it etc) about the specific feature you are referring to and how you have used it so far?

    Thanks!

When I right click on a “track” it shows a menu with “Truncate” in it. I am not sure that I have ever seen this before.

It appears to function similar to splitting a line. It seems to only be available to App Tracks.

Thanks for the additional detail! Truncate Here allows you to clip off the start of a track or the tail of a locator from the web app while that device is still reporting it's location. It then allows the device to continue adding to the end of it.

Thanks for pointing out that this is not something we currently have on the training site- I've made a note for us to add that to our documentation.

    Thank you,
    Meghan
