Is it possible to have a pop-up appear describing the name of a kml track or waypoint in Caltopo on hover?

I have a bunch of maps made by importing various kml files into Caltopo that I would like to have various tracks and waypoints display a pop-up with a brief description window when hovering the mouse cursor over a part of the track or the waypoint. Is this possible? Currently I cannot even click on a waypoint or track and get anything to pop up describing what it is.

You should be able to click on any object on the map and get an info box. It will not work on hover. If you'd like to share a specific map that you are having trouble with I can take a look.

    Hi Julie,

Thank you for the response! I should probably have clarified a bit more. I
can click on features on the map to open the description box only when
viewing the map on the Caltopo website. However all my maps are embedded on
external websites using <iframe> tags. It's on the external sites that the
    click functionality doesn't work.

Scroll down on this page as an example... there's a map with a lot of

Does the functionality no longer work once the map is embedded?

Also, is there plans at all to allow the description boxes to appear on
    hover in the future?

    Thanks again!

    Hi Matt,

Ah yes, that makes a big difference! The iFrame isn't going to have nearly the functionality of the website. For users to have that level of interactivity, you would want to send them to the full map via link.

There are no plans to have the boxes appear on hover. While it would be cool for something like this, I think it would be infuriating for actually trying to build extensive maps with lots of overlapping objects, and move around the map. I'll add it to the list of ideas though, just in case.
