Weather upgrade to HRRR

Having read this informative blog post it appears that CalTopo uses NOAA's RTMA model which produces NOWcasts on a 2.5km grid. Consider switching to the HRRR f00 forecast which is also hourly and is the moral equivalent of a NOWcast but on a 1.25km grid. A stretch would be the HRRR sub-hourly using the f00 forecast that has guidance in 15-minute intervals.

fogmachine's Avatar points at info for the HRRR and HRRR
sub-hourly. Not sure where you get GRIBs (maybe they're on AWS?) but that's
where I get them using the grib filter interface to reduce the amount of
    data sucked in.
