Hello,

Can you please tell me what DEM resolution data (i.e. 1 meter, 3 meter, 10 meter) you use for generating your percent slope layer?

Thanks,
Lindsey

    Hi Lindsey,

I believe you are referring to the Slope Angle Shading overlay. This overlay incorporates high resolution (1m, 1/9th arc second) LIDAR data where available and the standard 10 m NED data from the USGS. High resolution coverage can be found on this live map here: https://caltopo.com/l/CM87. More information on the high resolution elevation data can be found in this blog post: https://caltopo.com/about/2019/12/20/high-resolution-elevation-data/

Elevation shading (including custom layers) and hillside/terrain shading layers also incorporate in the new high res data.

I hope this helps answer your question! If not, please let me know what specific layer you were referring to.

    Best,
    Meghan
