app tracks --> sartopo offline map?

Hi, is there a way to get live app tracks to show up in real time on an instance of sartopo offline that happens to have connectivity at the moment? Our sequence was this:
1) we created a at our station with good internet before deploying (and export geojson to a thumb drive just before we depart)
2) some hasty searchers use the app to view that map then start their app tracks
3) (an hour later) we get to the IC location which has dodgy cell service, and start up STO (sartopo offline) on our trailer server
4) we import the geojson to STO and save as a new map, and operate using that for the rest of the night

We did have enough cell service to watch the live tracks on a smartphone most of the time. We did barely even have enough to view the original map on a PC but I think that may have bogged everything else down, in addition to being slow to load tiles on pan-and-zoom and such. But, we had not bothered to push the things we had drawn on STO back to the map. We probably could have done so, but, the issue with slow pan-and-zoom would remain.

So, the question came up of whether the app tracks could be imported - over the internet but requiring much less bandwidth than a full map including tiles - to an STO map. Once could say that if you have enough bandwidth to view the app tracks at all that you should just be using instead of STO, so, we deliberated on whether to even bother asking about this feature, but, it does still seem like it would be a benefit to have the live tracks but not the lag. Does this request make sense, and if so where do you think it would fall on the priority list? I know at least one other county that might find this helpful as well even if bandwidth is good: get a live feed of app tracks from one to show up on another map.

Tom, you really want to sync the desktop version (new-ish feature, but not that new) with You can open the map through STO, tiles will load from you local instance if you have them but everything will sync when you have a cell connection, including app tracks. If you lose the cell connection, it will still run fine, and changes will be queued up and sync back when you get a cell connection.

Thanks, we have not tried that. Will give it a shot at home.
