New user here, found this last year and have revisited enough to finally upgrade. Love the simplicity and accuracy of everything and I'm happy to see new LIDAR data. My question is:
Is there a way to limit the visibility of layers to the area within a polygon, whether within caltopo or google earth? I sense I'm on the edge of a rabbit hole and figured it would be best to ask here first since it seems like this would be a common pursuit. The closest to an answer I've found seems to involve google earth engine which I've never used, but I wanted to see if anyone had any guidance before going off the deep end. Thanks.

Within CalTopo at this point in time no. In Google Earth, maybe. I’ve never tried but you may be able to set a bounding box on a KML overlay. I am not 100% sure.
