Any chance of integrating an air quality layer? An AQI raster overlay or Purple Air station readings would both be useful to me. https://docs.airnowapi.org/webservices seems like it would provide AQI data. I'm not finding a publicly documented API for Purple Air but they clearly have one that seems usable, e.g. https://www.purpleair.com/data.json?module=AQI&conversion=C1&average=10&layer=standard&advanced=false&inside=true&outside=true&mine=true&fetch=true&nwlat=38.39913404144596&selat=38.06533889484774&nwlng=-123.32626853449065&selng=-120.69860383962454

This is the second or third request in a few months for an air quality layer, it seems feasible, since we are already inputting weather, but finding time for a developer to do it is the challenge. I'm going to put it on our list of desired improvements and additions but I cannot give you a realistic time frame.

That said at a glance it looks like some of these layers could be imported to CalTopo as custom layers though it may take a little finagling. We'll look at it a little more.

    Best,
    Ben
