Change load location of saved map for embedding?

Is there a way to change the parameters of a Saved Map URL so that I can embed it on a page and have it load at a specific lat/long and zoom level?

I know with unsaved maps, you can append this information to the URL (e.g. "#ll=38.32849,-78.20935&z=16&b=mbt"), but I cannot get this to work with the shortened URLs for Saved Maps.

Thanks in advance.

Right now when you add objects to the map and save them the map shortens the URL automatically as you note. Loading with the short URL should zoom the map to the extent of the objects, that is to say include all of the saved objects on the visible screen, and center on them by default. However the appended information you share above, technically should work with a shortened URL. (,etc, etc). We are aware that some optimizations could be made to the iframe embedding and its on the radar, though I cannot provide any specific time frame for that.
