Searching through public maps

I have attempted to search the forums and the internet as a whole for this and cannot find anyone even requesting the feature, let alone providing info on how to do it currently. I'm assuming then that this is not a current feature so I'll suggest it.

Since there's tons of public maps, it seems like a good idea to have an easy way to search through them. However, all I can find is this giant listing here:

Preferably, I'd like to search for a keyword and have results come up if it's found in the title and/or other feature names within the map.

    Hi Dion,

This is a great idea and something I'll add to the list of potential future features. I know it isn't ideal, but for the time being you can pull up that page and use the search feature in your browser to search keywords in the title and description of the public maps.

    Thanks for using CalTopo,
