Road Layers

Hi, I have some maps that I use regularly and are about a year old, today I went to make a few update and found that the mapbuilder open street road layer has been updated. I can see how some will like this update and it is something I have wished for in the past. However, for my current purpose the larger, smaller, roads just make my map to busy to read. Is there a way to include the old open street road layer. Also I am not currently seeing a difference between contours set to "typical" or "fewer" is this a bug? Also when looking at a map on caltopo.com I can have a white background under marker or line labels, this does not translate to pdf printing for me.

Thanks for making such a great tool.

In general there is no going back to the old styles. Contours fewer / typical affects the zoom level transition between when 40' contours are shown or hidden, if you're not at that transition point then it won't have an effect. I'm not sure what you mean with larger, smaller roads though - can you send a link to your map (mark this discussion private if need be)?

PDF labels don't have a white background, but they are printed with a white halo around text. This is in part because line labels are rendered along the length of a line rather than straight; a solid-white background wouldn't really work for that.
