"Map this spot" on caltopo.com/view

One can right-click any point on caltopo.com/view and get the option to "Map this spot". This option opens a new tab/window showing a topo map centered on the spot. How about automatically generating a marker for this spot? I notice that the coordinates of the spot are present in the url of the topo map so:
a) maybe this would be easy to implement
b) yes, I can easily create the marker myself

Thanks for your attention.

I'll think about it. When you click "map this spot", it opens a new browser window pointed at CalTopo; while I can read the center coordinates, zoom level and map layers from the URL, I don't currently have a mechanism for encoding marker coordinates in the URL. So it would require some decent sized changes to the map viewer code itself, and not just to what happens inside the "map this spot" code.

BTW, you may already be aware of this, but choosing Add New Marker from the green Add New Object menu will default the marker to the center of the map, without you needing to read and/or paste coordinates.

Matt, you wrote "but choosing Add New Marker from the green Add New Object
menu will default the marker to the center of the map".

While I recall that when I "Add New Marker" some coordinates are already
filled in I did not realize their significance - that they would default
the marker to the center of the map. Beautiful. Given this, what I
requested isto not worth making "decent sized changes to the map viewer
    code itself".

By the way, I live in Fresno, and have had fantastic results using
caltopo.com/view to identify Sierra peaks that can be seen from town along
    the horizon.

Thanks for your reply and for this wonderful service.
