Trailheads layer?

It would be invaluable to have a point-layer showing trailheads, either specifically identified based on OSM features (I assume this is a category, or the words "parking" or "trailhead" could be parsed?) or based on the spatial intersection of trails and roads.

Even if the data were error-prone, this would still be really useful!

I would find this useful as well, nice idea.

I was actually just assessing this as part of the recent MapBuilder style changes, and couldn't find anything in OSM that I could reliably use as a trailhead designation. There are lots of parked parking areas that aren't trailheads, although those are now included with a P icon that needs some additional coloring / styling.

Trying to mark road / trail intersections as trailheads is a total non-starter due to the number of places trails and roads intersect on national forest land without much room for parking, plus non-drivable fire roads in urban regional parks.
