Interfacing with county GIS for parcel info

Has anyone used caltopo to overlay the outline of a specific piece of property (given by parcel ID, e.g., 123.-1-22.5) found on a county's GIS website onto a caltopo map?

At my firm, we are always examining properties via a county's GIS website (of which there are many). The website will show the outline of the property, the parcel ID, overlaid on a satellite image of the area. It would be helpful if, somehow, we could take the outline of that property and overlay it in caltopo, such as on a USGS 7.5' map, terrain map, or other map available in caltopo. Thanks!

If the county GIS site allows exporting a parcel's boundaries to GeoJSON, GPX or KML, you should be able to import that file into CalTopo. Otherwise, I don't have any ideas. Have looked at including 3rd party parcel data as a layer, but couldn't find one with pricing I could justify.
