Decimal Minutes

Any chance you could extend decimal minutes to 3 decimal places instead of rounding to two? I.e. DD MM.MMM

    Maybe, although it would then be larger than any other format including UTM.

    What's the use case for that level of precision on degree decimal minutes coordinates?

    That is generally the standard for coordinates in the wildland realm. It would just create uniformity with all of the other listed coordinates that come from GIS and resources in the field.

    It would also allow me to be a little more precise when moving coordinates to other apps that I use. The difference of a few dozen feet could make a difference when looking to place radio equipment due to shadowing or weird topographic features.

    I checked and that's also consistent with what my GPS shows. Degree decimal minute coordinates are now shown to 3 decimal places of precision.
