SarTopo gets very slow when displaying multiline from kmz

I have a multiline object (store in kmz) that I need to overlay in SarTopo. There are roughly 700 paths in the file. The compressed kml is a little less than an mb on disk. When the lines are overlayed, the (desktop) application becomes extremely slow and difficult to use. I have tried simplifying the paths a great deal (removed 40% of original coordinates), and removed the html table of description info. All to no avail (despite shrinking the file size on disk in half). This makes me think the issue is in the way I am using the software or in the way SarTopo plots multiline objects?

Is there a best way to get a collection of multilines into the application? Is this an unsolved issue?

I'm calling this a bug report since there is no issue loading this file into any number of other pieces of software that might be used as an alternative to SarTopo (won't name names). Also, experience tells me that such a file should really be no issue, so I'm a bit baffled by the slow down. If there's a thread on this somewhere, my apologies, I haven't found any helpful info yet.

Thanks for any advice!

    Hi Ephraim,

Do you mind sending us the file to take a look? I think I have an idea of the problem, but the file would help me be sure.
