Odd elevation glitch with a severe drop in elevation. Can't resample. Can't split and rejoin. Can't split, create a connecting straight line, and rejoin.
Any help with how to redo the track so the elevation profile shows correctly?

    Hi Jon,

I need a little more information from you. Can you send me a link to the map? Are you using a track that you recorded, or just drawing a line?

    Thanks,
    Julie

    Hey Julie!

Of course! Heres the URL link to the map: https://caltopo.com/m/CRRH
And this was a GPX track that I downloaded. But I did try resampling, as well as splitting the track, cutting out the portion with the elevation drop and re-joining.
Even when I draw a straight line over that area it shows this severe elevation drop - which I really doubt is correct in real life. It seems to sudden and too deep

When I draw a series of lines above and below - they all have that same elevation drop. It appears there's a North-South band of 0m elevation across that portion of the map - I'm not sure how far it extends south/north

    Hi Jon,

I spoke with our team here and it looks like this is an issue with our data. We'll fix it, but it might not happen right away. We apologize for the error.

    Thanks,
    Julie
