Conflicting map codes between SARtopo and Caltopo

I'm trying to load a recent mission map created in SARtopo into the Caltopo app on my iPad. When I attempt to add the bookmark, the code for our SAR map comes back with a totally different map in Caltopo. It appears the two systems are using the same codes - which creates conflicts. My example: SARtopo map dum8 vs Caltopo map dum8. This means I can't use the iPad app for SAR missions. That doesn't seem right. Thanks.

    Hi Craig,
We'll look into the re-used map code. That's not expected.
Currently, the CalTopo mobile app can only talk to one of our servers (CalTopo vs SARTopo) at a time. In order to switch servers you need to go to "Your Account" in the app menu and sign out so you can sign in again with your SARTopo account.

Also, King County SAR has a team account on SARTopo. Logging in with the team account will grant you access to all features and allow you to view the list of King County SAR maps, record tracks to King County maps, etc. Check out and log in using the same username/password as for the KCSARA database. I run most of the KCSARA system - feel free to email [email blocked] if you have troubles there.

Thanks for your help on the mission this past weekend!

Thanks Matt. I was logged in with my SAR account, but I must not have paid
attention and ended up in Caltopo. When I logged out and back in, I found
the right bookmark for the mission. Thanks for helping me clear this up.

Now I'm going into a Zoom training for Sartopo. So much still to learn.

The training was great. I heard that it was 2 hours, and I was like, that's
a long time. But then you showed the zillion features of Sartopo and we
still had more questions. Good job.
