The NR canada layer is not working over https.

If I removed the "s" and goes plain text. I'm able to see the layer.

That's an NRCAN provided layer that I have no control over, and while I don't know the exact source of the issue, it's been having https related issues for a while. Due to some security changes Google made to Chrome, I can't have people logged in over http, and I also can't request http resources from an https page. So the net result is that the layer is presently unusable when signed in.

One of my friend found this map wms

The info provided by this service seems to be exactly what NRCan is but whitout the https issue.

Maybe this map (toporama) can be added in your layers?

If it helps, here's two other topo WMS maps for canada (there are other URL for english maps)
Seems like there identicals to toporama, except for the colors.
