Has anybody ran the caltopo app on a Samsung Galaxy 5.1 os?

    Sorry, not sure. We can see by Android version and by device, but not by device + software version (and even knowing that from user statistics, we wouldn't know for sure if they've had a good experience with the app or not).

    Charles,
    The app currently requires Android 5.0 / Lollipop. It looks like your phone may have updated to Android 5 (Lollipop) or 6 (Marshmallow) so that it's possible to install the app.

    One of our developers has a Samsung Galaxy S7 as a test device, running Android 8. The CalTopo app runs okay, but there is a little delay when starting or loading complex maps / tiles. We don't have tangible data yet on older phones like the S5.
