Load map by ID#?

Absolutely loving the Android app! Might actually be what finally tips me into the paying customer bin. ;-)

I recall there being an option, when I first installed the app, to load a map by it's ID#. With that, I could build a map for the day's hike, save it to my (free) account, and my friend could load the same map on her phone simply using that 4-character code.

Did this option get removed? Is it now a premium feature available only to paid accounts? Or am I just blindly not able to find it anymore?

Thanks!

Ahhh, ask and ye shall find? Continued browsing, and it appears if there's a desire to share a map, one way is to bookmark it in each individual's account, and then it can be loaded out in the field?

(Not as handy as being able to just hand-off the ID#, of course, if there's no signal available.)

I’m iOS so write me back if this isn’t the case on android but even with no service, with the map preloaded on your phone, click 3 bars upper left, your maps, the information icon next to the map you’d like. The 4 digit alpha numeric at the end of the web address is easy to hand out, though your friend would need to wait until they return to service to download the map.
    Thanks for using CalTopo,

Yes, I see where to get the 4-char code. I swear I saw a prompt, somewhere, when I first installed the app that allowed one to just enter that code to load a map. (Assuming service, yeah.)

Are you referencing creating a bookmark? 3 bars in the upper left, create bookmark.

No, aware of that. Must be imagining things. :-/
