When using the android app for navigation, I am having difficulty with trying to interpret the convention in which way the directional arrow is pointing. Also I I would like to know what the bearing reading down by the compass icon means.

Am I overlooking a tutorial somewhere on using the app for navigation in the field? Thank you.

The arrow points the direction that the top of your phone is pointing. The bearing reading down by the compass gives the numerical value of the compass reading for what direction your phone is pointing.

You can adjust whether the arrow and bearing reading point to true north or magnetic north using Display Options under the Three-Bar Menu in the upper left of the app. You will also find an option to turn on a bearing line, which will change the arrow into a line all the way across your screen representing the direction your phone is pointing.

We don't have a training or article posted for this feature yet.
